Taxi From Swindon To Gatwick Airport
Paul Augustus Walters, a former curator of the Swindon Museum and Art Gallery, has recently been appointed as the new Head of Art and Culture at Gatwick Airport. Walters, who has been with the Swindon Museum and Art Gallery since 2014, will be responsible for overseeing the development of the airport’s art and culture programme.
This includes the commissioning of new artworks, the curation of exhibitions, and the development of educational initiatives. Walters has a wealth of experience in the museum and gallery sector, having previously worked at the National Portrait Gallery in London and the Victoria and Albert Museum. He has also held curatorial roles at the Royal Academy of Arts and the British Museum.
Walters said he was “thrilled” to be taking on the role at Gatwick Airport. “I am looking forward to working with the team to create a vibrant and engaging art and culture programme that will be enjoyed by passengers and staff alike,” he said.
Gatwick Airport’s Chief Executive Officer, Stewart Wingate, said Walters was the perfect candidate for the role. “Paul brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the role and I am confident that he will be a great asset to the team,” he said. Walters will take up his new role in April 2021.
