The Latymer School

The world is advancing day by day and people are inventing many things. Now the school students are using too many mobile phones and tablets. In the age of the digital world, students are losing their interest in physical activities and losing their interest in physical games. They play games on the internet using their mobile phones or tablets. They spend a lot of their time in these types of activities. I got an invitation from the school where I have to deliver the lecture to students. I have to tell them the importance of physical activities and physical games. I decided to go there and deliver a lecture. I have to travel from Gatwick airport as I live near to the airport.

I decided to go there via cab. I searched on the web and got many results. I booked a cab from the company as there were providing many services. Their service charges were reasonable and they were also providing day hire service. company cab driver to my pick-up point on time. The distance from Gatwick airport to the school was almost 60 miles. The drive time was almost one hour and thirty minutes. The cab was neat and clean. The cab driver was well dressed and welcomed with a smile. The Latymer School is a mixed grammar school in Edmonton, London, England. The founder of the school was Edward Latymer and was established in 1624.

This is one of the top state schools in the UK. The school has six houses. Each house has a housemaster or housemistress. The house's names are Ashworth, Dolby, Keats, Lamb, Latymer and Wyatt. The Ashworth is named after the former headmaster and this house currently represents the sky blue colour. The Dolby is named after the former headmaster that was Dr Charles Vincent Dolby. This house is representing dark blue. Colour. The Kete house is named after the poet that was Jhon Keats. This house is representing red colour. The Lamb house is named on Chale Lamb and represents the purple colour.

The Latymer house is named after the founder of the school that was Edward Latymer and represents the green colour. The sixth and last house was named after the patron of the school and that was Ann Wyatt and represents the yellow colour. The school building was very beautiful. The school has big halls as well and has science laboratories as well. The Great Hall was well equipped and the seating capacity was almost more than 100 people. The school has also a library named The Ashworth Library. The library holds more than 20000 volumes. The school is also providing music classes or providing workshops. The school also conduct dramas, they take their students to trip. They also provide sports facilities to their students. After delivering the lecture to the student I met school teachers and their other staff. All of them were happy and my experience with them was very good. I came back to my home and the experience with the cab service was very good.
